This custom dwelling is 390 sqft with 12ft ceiling, and uses extensive glass to take advantage of the large waterfront acreage on one of the BC Gulf Islands. It will be used by a family of four as a simple retreat.


Designed for a client that already has a Studio 1.0 on a difficult-access forest lot, this Dwelling 4.8 (480 sqft) will be completely off-the-grid, with compost toilet, generator, water collection and a green roof.



This is a preliminary design for a custom 3.0 model on a steep sloping site in West Vancouver. 

The addition of a 300 sqft deck with glass railing takes advantage of the ocean view and South exposure over the house below.




A custom design for an 800 sqft waterfront cottage on South Thormanby Island, BC. Scheduled to begin construction in Feb., 2008.

The cottage has 2 bedrooms partially separated from the living / kitchen area by a glass-coverd entrance. There is a loft above the bedrooms with a catwalk out to a balcony for an elevated view of the ocean.

A custom design for an 1800 sqft house in the rear yard of a 1919 heritage house in North Vancouver, complimenting and preserving the existing house and providing an affordable home for a young family.
This project went through 6 months of rezoning and received unanimous approval from city council as well as extensive neighbourhood support.
